Boston Celtics recall Marcus Landry from the D-League affiliated team

Marcus Landry is back with the Boston Celtics, after being recalled by the NBA franchise from the D-League affiliated team, the Maine Red Claws. The rookie forward averaged 11.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 13 games played with the Red Claws after being assigned by the Celtics. Landry was traded to Boston last February from New York along with Nate Robinson.

Toronto Raptors sign Joey Dorsey for the remainder of the season

As expected, the Toronto Raptors have signed forward Joey Dorsey for the remainder of the season, as the Canadian franchise have announced today. The second-year player was a free agent after being waived by the Sacramento Kings, where he landed via trade from his first NBA team, the Houston Rockets. Dorsey has also spent time in the D-League during his two first seasons as a professional.

Romel Beck leaves the D-League to play in Venezuela

Romel Beck has left the D-League team Dakota Wizards, and will play in Venezuela for the Guaros de Lara. The American-Mexican forward, who was averaging 17.9 points this season for the Wizards, will be back to Venezuela after playing for the Gatos de Monagas in the 2007-08 season.

Enel Brindisi signs deaf forward Miha Zupan

Miha Zupan, the first deaf player to appear ever in a Eurobasket game in his days in Union Olimpija, was signed to a two-year contract with the Italian LegaDue team Enel New Basket Brindisi. The Slovenian 27-year-old player left Trikala 2000 weeks ago due to the payment delays of the Greek team.

Perlas inks Laurynas Samenas

The affiliated team of Lietuvos Rytas, Perlas Vilnius, have announced signed guard Laurynas Samenas for the next to seasons. The 21-year-old player arrives from Sakalai, where he has averaged 12.6 points and 3.7 assists this season in the LKL, and is considered a good shooter from the line.

Budivelnik signs Artur Drozdov

As expected, Artur Drozdov will continue his career in his country playing for BC Budivelnik. The Ukrainian 29-year-old guard, who played for BC Kyiv during the last two season, moved this summer to BC Donetsk, but became a free agent after the bankrupt of the club.
