Ironi Nahariya signs Adam Ballinger to replace Shawn Taggart

Ironi Nahariya has found a replacement for Shawn Taggart, who left the team to play for Spanish team Cáceres 2016. The Israeli team signed Australian-American forward Adam Ballinger. 26-year-old player comes from Adelaide 36ers, in Australian NBL, and will have his first experience as a player outside America and Australia in Nahariya squad.

Ironi Ramat-Gan, in talks with Gary Forbes

Panamian guard Gary Forbes, recently released by Vanoli Cremona, is in talks with Ironi Ramat-Gan to join the Israeli team. Forbes was averaging 13.3 points and 4.5 rebounds before leaving Italian team. Ironi Ramat-Gan is reported to be also interested in Rob Brown, former player of Maccabi Haifa

Bobby Dixon, close to leave ASVEL Villeurbanne

American guard Bobby Dixon has been a major disappointment in French team ASVEL Villeurbanne, now fighting in the middle zone of LNB and out of the Euroleague Top 16. Coach Vincent Collet has lost the faith in him, and Dixon could be released soon, according to French sources.

Brendan Haywood and Drew Gooden could also be traded along with Caron Butler and Josh Howard

The trade between Washington and Dallas to swap Caron Butler and Josh Howard could add two more pieces. Center Brendan Haywood would join Butler in his way to Dallas, while forward Drew Gooden flies to Washington with Josh Howard. This deal would also mean that Quinton Ross would be sent to Wizards instead of Tim Thomas.

Igor Rakocevic, to be released from Efes Pilsen

The relationship between Efes Pilsen coach, Ergin Ataman, and Serbian forward Igor Rakocevic, is broke. Ataman will ask the club management for the releasement of Rakocevic, signed this season from TAU Cerámica. Unicaja was interested in the player before signing Juan Dixon, now suspended by the FIBA due to test positive in an anti-doping control.

Washington to send Caron Butler to Dallas in exchange of Josh Howard

Finally, it seems that the first important trade of the NBA season is about to be completed. Washington Wizards would send All-Star Caron Butler, along with DeShawn Stevenson, to Dallas Mavericks in exchange of Josh Howard. Another player (Tim Thomas or Quinton Ross) would join Howard in his way to Washington.

Dennis Rodman to coach a minor league team, Elmira Bulldogs

Legendary and polemic former NBA player Dennis Rodman will coach Elmira Bulldogs, a team from Eastern Basketball Aliance league, for two games. Rodman has no intention of becoming a professional coach, but will be a publicity stunt for the franchise and the league and, according to the player, will make people know he's a "sane" person.
