Los Angeles Lakers sign Matt Barnes and Theo Ratliff

Matt Barnes turned down an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. The 30-year-old forward was signed to a two-year, $4 million contract after playing last season for the Orlando Magic, averaging 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. On the other hand, Theo Ratliff will also continue his long 15-year career in the Lakers, after signing a one-year, $1.35 million contract with the current NBA champions. The veteran 37-year-old center arrives to the Lakers after finishing last season in the Charlotte Bobcats.
