Atlanta Hawks, close to sign Josh Powell to a one-year, $1.1 million contract

The Atlanta Hawks are close to finalizing a one-year, $1.1 million deal with Josh Powell. The 27-year-old center would arrive to the Hawks after playing during the last two seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won the last two NBA championships. Powell averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds during the 2009-10 season.
